Sharks Attack
Object: Electric street poles
by Francis Tabios and Federica Zobbi

Observation
Equipment:
Augmented vision wear and communication instruments for information exchange among team members
  Findings:
The electric poles are used to prevent an overflow of cars.
They apparently stand in the middle of the road but if you have a remote control you can sink them into the ground. After a few seconds they will emerge again.

Idea
The idea was to connect the opposite pavements with a path like in old video games. This should stimulate people to walk differently and make them invent their own games they could play around the poles.
For the car drivers, the poles should become characters that they would have to face when trying to get to the other side, making the interaction through the remote control more fun.

Transformation
We gave the poles the character of sharks and built a symbolic bridge from one side of the pavement to the other, extending the idea of water from the canal to the street.
Like this, people could play different games trying to cross the street with the sharks coming up or going down.

Although not many people tried, most drivers and passersby were positive about the transformation even if facing this game made them a little scared.
