The smoke sensor game
This was my first prototype where the physical input of air sensing, and digital gaming came together.
Invading pollutants were generated by cigarette smoke, detected by a smoke sensor. You as the protagonist would be the fierce pilot of a solar powered vacuum cleaner, sucking up pollutants as they were passing by.
From this I learned a few things: people enjoyed it and it was technically working. The only misconception was the sucking up of pollutants: no amount of game-playing could lessen in any way the amount of real particles.

The smoke sensor is connected to the wiring board, which sends its readings... |
|
...to Flash, where it generates the incoming particles. |
