Raising the Rockies
On August 12, 2009 a group of 27 people hiked up to Kanaskis, Jumpingpound Mountain at an elevation 2225m to observe firsthand the meadows of the Alpine Apollo butterfly (Rocky Mountain Parnassian) and the obstacles to its survival.
By forming moving corridors through the overgrowing meadows, the group explored the possibilities of bridging the habitats of the butterflies and study personal actions and effects on different levels.
